Similar to residential set outs, commercial set out surveys are required for projects such as childcare centres, local shops, industrial sheds or high rise office buildings.
These surveys usually involve several site visits from identifying the boundaries, setting out gridlines, columns, lift shafts, car park, posts and columns.
The surveyor will work with closely with the assigned Project Manager on the project to determine set out needs and timings to ensure the project runs smoothly.
In simple terms, commercial set out surveys place nails, marks, pegs or stakes at a location predermined by the approved plans so that the builder can confidently erect structures in the correct location.
